Marcus Riley is the Senior Director, Content Strategy and Inclusive Journalism for The E.W. Scripps Company. He has 30 years of experience in television broadcasting. He started out as a general assignment reporter and was an early pioneer in the journalism digital space. He served several terms on the Chicago Midwest NATAS Board, was Chapter President from 2012-2015, and multiple years on the National Board of Trustees. Marcus works with Scripps’ corporate team to help develop journalism strategy for its 41 stations and personally advises a dozen stations in the company’s northern region. He helped spearhead a startup FOX station in Lansing Michigan in 2021 with a groundbreaking neighborhood news model. Marcus recently added Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion duties to his portfolio to help ensure Scripps’ newsrooms implement the necessary systems and processes to help create cultures that are representative of the communities they serve. Marcus has won eight Regional Emmy® Awards, two Edward R. Murrow Awards and was named the Wisconsin Social Media Personality of the Year in 2018.
Aunya Butler is a Supervising Producer at CBS Chicago. She started her news careers at Fox 8, WGHP in High Point, North Carolina. She worked there for 2.5 years after getting hired right out of college following an internship. After her time in North Carolina, Aunya moved to Seattle, Washington and worked at Q13 News. She spent 4 years there before taking a quick break from news and working for the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department as a Communications Liaison. Aunya just moved to Chicago in July of 2022 when she accepted her job at CBS.
Tiffany Dotson is a Regional Emmy® Awarded Video Editor and Content Creator in a Chicago creative advertising agency, Schafer Condon Carter. Her experience includes editing commercials for creative campaigns that broadcast in the Midwest. Her background in post-production, motion graphics, and narrative storytelling is pronounced and displays her passion for editing. The art of crafting visual stories has intrigued Tiffany since her youth. She began her journey as an editor to express her own creative perspective using multiple mediums including graphics, music, and design. Her sharp eye combined with her artistic mind is a force just like peanut butter and jelly... it just works.
Growing up on the US-Mexico border, Ivan had the privilege of experiencing and learning from the culture of two countries. He began his content production and advertising career in Mexico before making the move to El Paso, Texas in 2010 to work for an NBC and CBS affiliate. In 2013, he relocated to Chicago after being offered the position of Creative Producer at Univision Chicago. He was promoted to CS Manager in 2016 and in 2019 he became Creative Director. During the last decade he had the opportunity to work on all types of content, ranging from local car dealership spots to documentaries to national campaigns. He is most passionate when working on projects that empower the Latino community, helping give a voice to their stories of struggle and success.
Colin Hinkle began his career in television news at WMBD in Peoria in 2000. He has been working in Chicago for stations such as ABC 7 and CBS 2 for the last 20+ years as a news videographer and now freelance production company. Colin became interested in aerial photography after working in news helicopters and looking for new ways to capture content. Founded in 2014, Colin’s company Soaring Badger Productions was the first to receive FAA exemption to fly drones commercially and to film on film sets in Illinois. Soaring Badger Productions holds multiple regional Chicago/Midwest Emmy® Awards and continues to lead in aerial film production.
Elyssa Kaufman is a Digital News Producer at CBS 2 Chicago. She covers breaking news for the CBS 2 website and app while working closely with the morning show producers. Aside from writing the articles you see online, Elyssa handles the station’s social media sites. Her claim to fame is managing the CBS Chicago TikTok account. She feels lucky to grow the digital and social platforms with her team. Elyssa earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in Urban Planning at the University of Illinois. As a student, she served as a Daily Illini staff writer and interned for both WGN and NBC Chicago in the digital departments.
Maleek Ndile currently serves as a Senior Coordinating Producer for Marquee Sports Network, joining the network prior to Marquee’s launch in 2020. Ndile oversees the production of Marquee’s award-winning Cubs pregame and postgame studio coverage, plus additional original programs and documentaries. Ndile serves as an Executive Producer for the two-time Chicago/Midwest Emmy® Award-winning Class is in Session with Doug Glanville, helping to create the show in 2021. Ndile joined Marquee after four years as a producer at MLB Network, and also has extensive media experience at FOX Sports, Comcast Sports Mid-Atlantic, WBNS-TV (Columbus, Ohio) and Cultivated Entertainment. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Ndile attended Ohio State University.
Diane Pathieu joined ABC 7 Chicago, the Number One station in the market, as a reporter in December, 2011. She reports for the ABC 7 weekend morning newscasts and fills-in throughout the week with news and traffic reports. Prior to joining the ABC 7 team, Diane was a reporter/anchor at WTMJ4 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She reported for their morning show, Live at Daybreak and also served as anchor of Live at Noon. Diane got her start at KFXB-TV in Dubuque, Iowa after graduating Columbia College Chicago in 2001.
