Junior Board

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) is excited to announce the formation of an inaugural Junior Board. We would like your help in securing driven, talented, leadership-level applicants to fill ten open seats.

Application is due by Jan. 15, 2021.   Specifically, we are seeking students or young professionals, aged 18-26, who are intent on a career in television news or entertainment. While an interest in television is preferred, those interested in film, interactive media, or marketing are also welcome to apply. To be eligible, a candidate must either attend college or work within the area of the Chicago/Midwest chapter.

Applicants should be strong leaders and strong collaborators. We are searching for individuals who consider themselves to be “makers” and creators: driven, problem-solving, creative doers who take initiative. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are a must.

Junior Board members will be able to network and make connections – not just among their peers but among some of the Midwest’s top working broadcast and production professionals.

Those selected for the Board will receive a free membership to the Chicago/Midwest Chapter.

Established in 1958, it is one of the largest and most senior chapters in the country, with a proud history of innovation and excellence in the field of broadcast TV and beyond.

Thank you for your time and attention; we look forward to connecting with the future leaders in our industry! The application is due by Jan. 15, 2021. For more information, contact Rebekah Cowing, Executive Director of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter, at rcowing@emmyonline.tv or 312-218-8058.
