MORE THAN THE EMMY AWARDS

The Chicago/Midwest Chapter hosts a number of events throughout the year.

  • Emmy Nominations Party – A great time and a great time to network.  Find out the nominees for the Emmy competition! The 2019 Date was:  Friday, October 4, 2019 – WTTW, 5400 N. St. Louis, Chicago.
  • Silver Circle Honors Program– Each year, the Chicago/Midwest Chapter recognizes outstanding individuals who have devoted 25 years or more to the television industry both in Chicago and Wisconsin.  2020 Chicago Silver Circle
  • Workshop: Google Tools and More – Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019  Link for Info
  • Workshops Learn about new technologies, terminology, and techniques from your colleagues. Most of our events, including a Confidence Building Workshop, Career Day, are free to members.
  • Exclusive Invitations to Industry Professional Lectures – Listen to industry legends tell their stories at private luncheons not open to the public. Guests have included Tim Gunn, Andy Cohen, Jane Pauley, Marlo Thomas, Phil Jackson, Douglas Brinkley, Tom Brokaw, Jim Lehrer, Ken Burns, and Susan Lucci.
  • Networking Opportunities – Attend our annual Emmy nominations party and other social gatherings to meet members from all areas of the television industry. Look for more “Networking Socials” in 2018.
  • Two FREE passes for many preview screenings of major motion pictures – These screenings include Oscar-nominated films, plus invitations to events where talent and directors are present. Films shown in 2017-2020 films included: The Rhythm Section, The Good Liar, My Name is Dolemite, JoJo Rabbit, The Upside; They Shall Not Grow Old; Mary, Queen of Scots; Final Act; Crazy Rich Asians; Instant Family; Boy Erased; The Wife; A Private War; Operation Finale; Transylvania Hotel 3, Solo, Deadpool 2, Tully, Vida, The Leisure Seeker, Crazy Rich Asians, Damsel, Wonder, LBJ, The Kingsman, Dunkirk, Victoria & Abdul, Captain Underpants, The Zookeeper’s Wife, Boss Baby, 20th Century Women, and The Hollars (with a Q&A with Actor John Krasinski). Have you received a movie notice recently? If not, our emails may be going into a spam folder. Please check! Actors and directors from the films are often present to answer questions after the screenings.
